Travel Management
This central reservation portal offers members of the UGA community tools that will decrease costs and provide the widest range of flexibility and choice. Portal users have access to reduced agency fees, reduced fares, favorable travel terms and convenient access to a variety of reservation options.

Visiting the University of Georgia

The Visitors Center, located in the Four Towers Building on East Campus, is open Monday through Friday— except official university holidays — to assist visitors to campus.

Directions

Athens, Georgia, home of the University of Georgia, is located sixty miles northeast of Atlanta. Several highways and interstates lead directly into Athens and two airports service the city. [information and directions] [printable directions]

Campus Maps

From interactive maps of campus and Athens to parking maps and transit routes, there are a number of maps available to guide you through campus.

Campus tours

In addition to an introductory virtual tour, tours of campus are conducted seven days a week by student tour guides. Reservations are required to participate in a campus tour. Tours are not conducted on official university holidays. To make a tour reservation, call (706) 542-0842.

Parking

Visitor parking is available in pay-per-hour lots and parking decks around campus. For access to the Visitors Center, visitors may park in the adjacent parking lot and obtain a parking pass inside the center. The Visitors Center staff will be happy to show you the parking area closest to your destination. More...

Buses

Visitors to campus are welcome to ride the campus transit system, one of the largest and safest campus bus systems in the nation. There is no charge. Buses operate only on days when classes are in session. Hours of operation are from 6 a.m. until 1 a.m. Peak level of service are between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Campus Ttransit operates vans equipped to provide curb-to-curb transportation service for guests with disabilities from 7 a.m. until 2 a.m. Services are provided by subscription and on-demand for unscheduled trips. Schedules for campus and Athens city routes are available at the Tate Student Center information desk and the Visitors Center.

Accommodations and dining

The Georgia Center Hotel is open to conference attndees, visiting government employees, university guests, spectators of UGA sports, alumni, and parents of current students. The Georgia Center also provides a variety of dining services, including The Savannah Room and the Courtyard Café. Additional food services operations include eateries and snack shops located throughout campus.
